Well, as of today, they\\’ve opened the main courtyard, but the sign says \\”Only 6 people at a time, and everyone must maintain social distancing of 6ft.\\” I\\’m adding it to the list of things I paid for, but cannot use, because I will not patronize any \\”business\\” that requires social distancing or masks, etc. To be clear, I am objecting to this because *no one* should have to go through these things. Even if I may personally obtain some sort of \\”pass\\” or whatever though my efforts, *no one else* should have to be subject to these sorts of things. As an example, yesterday as I was walking towards the entrance of my building, I noticed there were a group of graduates in caps-and-gowns talking very loudly across the street towards the building entrance. I thought it was an odd place to celebrate, but when I got closer I saw that an elderly woman who lives in my building was outside in her mobile scooter having a conversation with those graduates, and realized they were \\”social-distantly-celebrating\\” with her. While it was cute, I walked two feet in front of her and said hello, while her family had to sequester themselves across the street. These \\”rules\\” are harmful to everyone. We are social creatures. Humanity is not a virus.
